A large pot hole (5’ x 3½’) was repaired on Bunsen Parkway. Please remember to look for the missing "Blowing Tree" sign on Craig’s List, eBay and at yard sales and flea markets. If you see the sign, call Chief Redman. I am still offering a reward for the arrest and conviction of the criminals responsible for the theft of this sign. A new "Blowing Tree" sign has been ordered and will be installed shortly.

-2 reports,
-15 traffic stops,

-6 motorist assists,
-16 dispatched runs,

-211 police & public contacts,
-Working on a traffic grant.
Attorney’s Report
Attorney Emery confirmed that letters were mailed out regarding the remaining unpaid property taxes. He also answered a question from Commissioner Lynch about taxes due the city from cable service.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Police
Commissioner Dunn again expressed his thanks to DirtWorks for the job done during the last snow event. He also provided additional information concerning why certain road treatments were used.
Roads and Lighting
Commissioner Lynch confirmed that a new pole and sign for Blowing Tree has been ordered. There was also mention of signs on Hurstbourne Lane being vandalized by graffiti.
Parks Commissioner
Commissioner Hardin presented an initial report about the possible relocation of the City Town Hall to the main subdivision. It was suggested that the land on which construction of a water tower was once being viewed is in consideration.
Sanitation
Commissioner Renninger reported on a recent problem with a resident’s large trash pile. It was confirmed that Rumpke will only take one large item from a resident’s house each Friday. There was a complaint on Tuesday about missed recycling bin items. Once Rumpke was made aware, they were quick to pickup. Concerning early trash pickup complaints, Police Chief Redman and Sergeant Skaggs have copies of the pertinent ordinance (no pickup between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am), and are handling the situation. In other news, two new neighbors have received the welcome brochures, the safety grant needs signing by the Mayor, and after an evaluation of putting cameras in the city, it was determined that they would not be cost effective.
OLD BUSINESS
Nunnlea Generator
There was further discussion about contributing $2500 for the purchase and installation of a natural gas generator at Nunnlea for use by residents during power outages. Due to current consideration about moving the City Hall to another location, a motion was made by Commissioner Dunn to table the decision, which was seconded by Commissioner Hardin. The motion passed with one opposed, Commissioner Lynch.
Compensatory Time
The issue of the lack of a Standard Operating Procedure has been raised regarding the compensatory time for the Police Chief Redman and Sergeant Skaggs. After Attorney Emery provided his recommendations to the Commission, Mayor Fore advised that the situation would be resolved in an Executive Session next month.
There being no further business or discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Michael Bolten, City Clerk
