YARD SALE REPORT
Thanks to all who participated in the neighborhood yard sale, particularly Brent Hardin, Chris Redman and Danny Cook for their assistance in displaying the Yard Sale and No-Parking signs in and around our city.
I placed the Yard Sale ad for Friday and Saturday, but the Courier-Journal made a mistake in not running our ad in Friday’s news. After calling this to their attention, they apologized and did not charge us for the Saturday ad.

Commissioner Dunn reported that he had a meeting with a representative from MSD concerning the need to clean out/repair two drains, one in the retention basin and the other in the southeast corner of the park. In other news, a quote was obtained from StumpBusters to clean out the area behind several houses on Hurstbourne Circle in the amount of $15,000. The city has agreed to budget $5,000 for this project. Also, Commissioner Dunn is asking for assistance from residents in cleaning the weeds out of the sand in the park. Finally, it was mentioned that the hole remains in front of resident John Lynch’s house. After the meeting, Mayor Fore will personally inspect the situation. The Highway Department has already been contacted and has yet to act.
Sanitation
Commissioner Heck advised that there were two missed garbage pickups. It was also mentioned that the price for sanitation services would be increasing 20%.

Investment Report
Travis Kuntz with Edward Jones provided an update regarding the city investments. The city clerk was instructed to provide Mr. Kuntz a copy of the city investment ordinance for review and compliance.
Miscellaneous
A resident reported that the pine tree that fell on the berm behind Wesley Avenue has been cut up, but that the tree root remains. The city attorney was instructed to send a letter to the management of Camden Apartments reminding them of their responsibility. In other news, Mayor Fore confirmed that the city is working with the State Transportation Department on a bid to have the city streets repaved. It was suggested that due to our current fiscal responsibilities, including the new police department expenses, the paving would probably not occur during this next fiscal year.
There being no further business or discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Michael Bolten, City Clerk
