LEAF PICK-UP
The leaf pick-up scheduled for the weekend of October 24-25 did not happen because there were not sufficient leaves on the ground.
This week, after our rains, many yards have significant leaves, so our first leaf pick-up will be Sunday, November 1 and Monday, November 2. Our second pick-up is still scheduled for November 15-16.
Have your leaves raked to within 3 ft. of the road-edge of your property. Leaves Only!! No sticks or garbage. Do not rake or blow your leaves into the street.
Marty Dunn, Commissioner
I met with MSD about a street problem on Woodfield & Addington; they’ve agreed to inspect the sewer lines on these streets.
On October 9 a high wind broke a large tree branch, blocking Hoke Road for a time. I was able to move it to the side of the road.
I bought a light bulb for the entrance sign at Old Hurstbourne, and it was installed with the help of Ron Walters, a resident.
The hanging street sign on Blowing Tree was repaired on Monday, October 26.
Geese have been spotted in the park some mornings but have been gone by noon. Please don’t feed them; rather, chase them, or let your dogs chase them. This will hurry them on their trip south.
